LAMIVUDINE
a nucleoside analog drug that has fewer serious toxicities than other drugs of its class. 3TC has been approved in combination with AZT for the treatment of progressive HIV disease. Also called LAMIVUDINE, EPIVIR
A nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor<!-- (see) --> first approved by FDA in 1995 and used in combination with other anti-retroviral agents<!-- (see) --> for adults, adolescents, and children. Also called 3TC or Epivir and available with Zidovudine<!-- (see) --> as Combivir<!-- (see) -->.
